As much as we love summer, we all have to face the fact that winter is coming. Despite the cold weather, you can keep those dreary days bright by incorporating floral prints in your winter wardrobe. When choosing your florals for the cold winter months, you do not want to seem as if you are not aware of which season it is. If it is cold enough to wear a scarf, a jacket and close-toe shoes, it’s probably not the right time to be rocking a white floral print with bare legs. Layering is foolproof way to stay warm and is a visual cue that you know what you are doing. Opaque black tights and a fitted jacket over a floral print dress is spunky yet winter appropriate. Choosing the fabric and the cut of your dress is also important. Cotton and chiffon were perfect in July but won’t keep you warm in chilly November. Opt for something in a rich satin or even cashmere. If you are open to making a big fashion statement, wear a black and white floral romper with a bright colored coat.
